Announcing a new Alternative Ministry in Canada
For some time, I have been feeling the desire of people in Canada to have Unity centres in their home cities and towns where there are none. So after much prayer and meditation, as of July 31, 2007, I am resigning as minister at Unity of Mississauga and stepping out in faith and have formed a new alternative ministry which received Canadian Association Board approval on June 7, 2007.
My vision for this ministry is to meet with people who have contacted me, have expressed a desire for a Unity group in their town, and guide and coach them as they form a Unity Study Group. I envision a leader arising within each group who will be inspired to take Unity classes and perhaps even become a Licensed Unity Teacher or minister.
Initially I will focus on the mid and eastern areas of the Province of Ontario. I have identified thirteen target cities in the area and have already established contacts in several of them. I am prepared to travel from town to town in a circuit,
speaking, meeting with people, helping them organize a group and if necessary, giving workshops and conducting classes. I am selling my home in Mississauga and will be living in my motorhome (at least while it's not winter!) to be fully mobile. I will also be in contact with them by email and telephone, and will encourage them to take advantage of the many distance learning opportunities for Unity classes.
I'm asking for your help. If you know of friends or family who are interested in Unity in cities which do not currently have a Unity Centre, please have them contact me at the above email address or phone number (you could just forward a copy of this letter to them). And until I get a permanent address, my daughter has kindly consented to allow me to use her home address (above) for snailmail.
Yours in Service,
Rev Pat Ball
